Rockcliffe Mansion

Thank you for your interest in Rockcliffe Mansion as the location for your special day.

Rockcliffe Mansion is the premier venue for wedding ceremonies and wedding photography in Northeast Missouri. It is also a wonderful location for a romantic Honeymoon night in our B&B.

The Mansion is located on a scenic bluff overlooking the historic Town of Hannibal, Missouri, and the Mississippi River, which provides a spectacular view, and an ideal setting, for wedding ceremonies and photographs. The interior of the Mansion is large, stately, and richly decorated with wood paneling, oriental carpets, stained glass windows, and original antiques.

One of the favorite spots for Wedding ceremonies is the landing on the Grand Staircase in front of the massive Louis Comfort Tiffany stained glass arched window. From this spot, Mark Twain spoke to 300 guests during his last visit to Hannibal in 1902.

We have approximately 90 white folding chairs that can be set up in the Grand Entry facing the Grand Staircase, or, if you would prefer, they can be set up on the lawn in front of the Mansion.

Because the Mansion is an historic house museum, with irreplacable furnishings, and other artifacts, we cannot offer food or beverage service inside the Mansion, or anywhere else on the property. Thus, your use of the Mansion and its grounds would be restricted to a ceremony and photography. There are numerous venues capable of hosting a reception with food or beverage service nearby.

The cost of using the Mansion and its grounds for 5 hours (which includes set up and take down) is $1,500. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to hold a date. If you plan to have your wedding on a Saturday or Sunday, we recommend that you make your reservation early.

If you wish to see the Mansion, it is open every day, March 15th through November 15th, for guided tours. The Mansion's regular tour hours are 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. (last tour begins at 4:00 p.m.)
